The Ford GT 500 `Shelby’ Mustang was created by Fords SVT department the same crazy crowd responsible for the Ford GT and F150 SVT Raptor. It wasn’t produced for the UK/European market only the USA.

The 5.8 V8 Supercharged engine produces an acclaimed 662BHP and 631lb ft of torque from its revamped all aluminium block that was essentially a developed wet sump version of the V8 originally used in the Ford GT.

Not only has the engine been upgraded but the brakes, suspension and aerodynamics have all received the `Shelby’ treatment to complete the package.

The 0-60 sprint is in 3.5 seconds and a top speed over 200 MPH

The optional Performance package fitted to our GT500 also adds adjustable dampers and a Torsen limited-slip rear differential.
